Just wanted to say hello, and pass on a few things to you : )

Summer is winding down and the kids are getting ready to get back to school, yay!! Although I hate to see summer end, it sure does seem like so much goes on in the summer your head just spins! Hopefully most of you have planted seeds over the summer and continued promoting the challenge and growing your business, because as summer slows down, it is proven over and over in this industry that the hottest months and busiest months for our industry is Sept, Oct and November, so get back to people, get those parties scheduled and keep helping your customers get their product for free!

I want to pass on a few things I have learned over the past few years in this business, that suck the life right out of your business….

They suck the life out of you and leave you drained, wondering where all the time in the day went and why you have spun your wheels all day without any progress…

“Time Vampires” so you can focus your energy on recruiting, not wasting it doing things that are draining, and unproductive.

Time Vampire #1: Your Phone  – Tame It Like Its A Wild Animal In A Cage

I know it seems kind of ironic -  telling you to tame your phone, but encouraging you to make more dials – but what I mean is to tame your phone from unproductive conversations that are just a complete waste of time.

Try to get complete control over the inbound calls that you get, and decide when to take them, and when not to take them. I’ve found it helpful to return of your “non-recruiting” calls at a certain time every day, so you can plow through them all at once and not have to worry about constantly being distracted!

Studies have shown that when we get distracted, it takes us over 20 minutes to get our focus back to where it was, so this is CRUCIAL to grasp.

Time Vampire #2: The “When I Can” Trap

So many of us fall into the trap of “I’ll get to it when I can”
Huge NO

Whatever you need to do, do it in blocks of time so you can be 100% focus on the task at hand. Better yet, have a timer, or some sort of clock staring you in the face so that you pace yourself to hit your time mark.

Trust me, you will get so much more done, and you will feel so much more accomplished than if you just wander around aimlessly.

Time Vampire #3: “No-Purpose Prospecting”….Link EVERY Activity To Your Goals!

If you don’t have a big enough “Why”, then you’ll never be motivated to do what you need to do to take action! Think about everything you want to accomplish in your home based business, and keep your mind focused 100% on that final outcome that you want to achieve.

What do YOU want? To never worry about money again? More time with family, or to travel?

Whatever it is for YOU, that is what you need to focus on. And every time you feel like you’re procrastinating, just think back to those goals and get back on track!

No matter if you work full time and only have 1 hour a day to work your business, make that 1 hour be totally committed to the business, no distractions and stay on track, if you do this you will get closer to your goals…

I also wanted to pass on something someone had posted on FB earlier today, I loved it, so many people whether they realize it or not, make excuses, blame others for their lack of success….

So many people seem to want to blame someone else for their not being where they want to be.

Doesn’t work…

I learned this a long time ago from Randy Gage..back when I was broke and struggling…

He said…

“Who was at the scene of every crime?”

Who was always there when I was sabotaging myself…

It took me a long time but I finally got it…

It was NO ONE but ME who was keeping me from my dreams.

And THEN I changed…

I took responsibility for myself

It’s not the bad programs, not the evil gurus who scammed you into buying another info product…not your upline, not your downline, not your mommy, not your shrink…

It has been YOU making the decisions!

And you you grasp this and take FULL responsibility for your business things will change.

Letting ANYONE take control of your mind and LOAD YOUR LIPS (or your fingers) is sign that you are seeking someone to SAVE YOU.

NO ONE is gonna save you but YOU. ( Hard truth, but so true! )

Hope some of this helped maybe get you back to thinking about what YOU need to do to grow your business, what improvements can you make? Are you out promoting, are you having some parties on your calander every month?  Your business is NOT going to grow by sitting in front of the computer all day, we have to get out and meet people and talk to people!
